Top Sports Hunks of the Decade

Head on over to www.facebook.com/competemag to see our Top Ten Sports Hunks of the Decade and chime in on who you think should have made the list.

Or you could click on that button over there
<---------

Top Athletes of the Decade - Men

So far we've brought you the Top Sports Stories of the Decade and the Top Athletes of the Decade - Women. Now, it's time for our third installation of our year-end lists, the Top Athletes of the Decade - Men.

1. Roger Federer
The 15-time Grand Slam champion is arguably the best player of all time, and is still young enough to add 3-4 more majors to his collection. Number 1 in the world for a record 237 consecutive weeks, Federer is one of only three men in the Open Era to win all four majors – Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open.

2. Michael Phelps
Six gold medals at the 2004 Olympics wasn’t good enough for him, so Phelps cam back four years later to win 8, a new record. At the Beijing Games, the swimmer set 7 world records and upped his medal total to 16. The 24-year old likely will set the all-time record for gold medals at the 2013 Games in London.

3. Tiger Woods
The world’s best golfer won 56 PGA tour events in the decade – 45 more than “rival” Phil Mickelson. His 12 major titles (14 total) during the decade put him just four behind the all-time leader, Jack Nicklaus.

4. Kobe Bryant
From 2000-2002 Bryant teamed with Shaquille O’Neal to win 3 NBA titles. In 2009 he proved he could do it without the big man, winning his fourth by age 30. During the decade Bryant was an MVP, a 10-time All-Star and two-time scoring champion. And he’s still in his prime.

5. Peyton Manning
The records Manning set in the decade are numerous and too many to mention; but the most important is how he led the Indianapolis Colts to 7 consecutive 12-win seasons and the most wins of any team in the decade. His three MVPs and 1 Super Bowl title (so far) puts him in the conversation with Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas and John Elway as the best quarterback of all time.

Top Athletes of the Decade - Women

Our Next List is the Top Athletes of the Decade - Women.

Here's a look back on who we thought served it up, heeeeeey!

1. Serena Williams
Who knows how many Grand Slam titles Williams may have won had she been healthy and – ahem – “applied’ herself. Still, the winner of 9 Grand Slams this decade is undoubtedly the best and most powerful women to play the game the last 10 years.

(Looks like we're in agreement with The Associated Press)

2. Annika Sorenstam
She retired on 2008 at age 38 – years before most legends call it quits. Nonetheless, the golf sensation won 8 of her 10 majors this decade, and finished first on the money list 5 years in a row. She was so good that she was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame – at age 32!

3. Lisa Leslie
Three Olympic gold medals. Three WNMBA MVP awards. Two WNBA championships. Seven All-Star Game appearances. The best women’s player during the decade, Leslie wrapped up her career this year with more points and more rebounds than any other player in league history.

4. Diana Taurasi
At the start of the decade she led UConn to three NCAA titles. Then she revolutionized the women’s game in the WNBA. Adding to her college dominance, she won two Olympic gold medals and recently led the Mercury to their second WNBA title in 3 years.

5. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh
The 2-time gold medal beach volleyball duo didn’t just win this decade; they dominated. Their 112 consecutive victories and 19 consecutive titles was capped in Beijing in 2008 when they became the first beach volleyball team to repeat as gold medalists.

Once again, if you disagree, let us know who you think should have been included in this list.

Top Sports Stories of the Decade

We know how much readers love these year-end lists, so we came up with a few of our own. This first of four lists are the Top Five Sports Stories of the Decade.

If you have any ideas of sports stories you think should have been included, add them in the comments section.

1. Baseball’s Steroid Scandal
Bonds. A-Rod. Manny. McGwire. Clemens. Palmeiro. There is a stain on baseball.

2. Patriots’ Dominance
Three Super Bowl trophies in four years, but it is their 1 loss that most folks still talk about.

3. Dale Earnhardt dies at Daytona.
On the final lap of NASCAR’s Super Bowl, the sport loses its greatest star.

4. College Football BCS Controversies
Like death and taxes, this is certain.

5. Michael Vick’s Troubles
The convicted dog torturer has proven to be a poster child for second chances.

Gay Games on the road to success –registrations surpass projections!

2,500 registrations for the VIII Gay Games Cologne 2010

The Cologne Gay Games is pleased with the on-going success of registrations for Gay Games VIII in Germany next year.

“We are ahead of projections at this moment. Experience shows that more than half of all Gay Games participants register in the last few last months before the Opening Ceremony. Especially in times of economic crisis, when most people are not able to make long-term decisions, we are even more pleased with this overwhelming success!” adds Michael Lohaus, co-president of the Cologne Gay Games.

The success is the result of the many public relations activities of the Games Cologne team. “We have been present at many sport meetings and LGBT events. In addition, two Cologne promotion teams traveled through the USA recently and presented Gay Games VIII in 20 American cities.”

In a conversation with the Interior Minister of North Rhine-Westfalia, Dr. Ingo Wolf, Games Cologne Co-president Lohaus and project manager Armin Lohrmann made clear the significance of the event for the region and the country. The discussions included topics such as integration, health, and anti-doping, which are all important considerations for Gay Games VIII.

Kelly Stevens, the Federation of Gay Games Officer of Communications, stated "We are delighted in the rapid increase in registrations. We all sing "Viva Colognia" to this news." Stevens also said "The Federation of Gay Games is very pleased with Games Cologne's organisation of Gay Games VIII."

The VIII Gay Games Cologne 2010 will take place between 31 July and 7 August. With 34 sports and 5 cultural events, the Cologne Gay Games will welcome over 12,000 participants, more than the Olympic Games. On 31 July 2010, 34 000 spectators will celebrate in the RheinEnergieStadion with Gay Games participants at the Opening Ceremony.

The Gay Games is an international sports and cultural event which takes place every 4 years, under the guiding principles of “Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best™”.

Cleveland Chosen to Host 2014 Gay Games IX

Top flight venues, fiscal accountability and widespread community support

cited by Federation of Gay Games

Cologne, Germany [29 September 2009] – The city of Cleveland, Ohio, USA, has been chosen by the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) to host the 2014 Gay Games.

The announcement by the FGG comes after a year-long site selection process that culminated in formal presentations by bidding cities to the FGG Membership Assembly meeting this week in Cologne, Germany, site of the 2010 Gay Games. Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and Washington, D.C., USA were the other two finalists.

“Cleveland demonstrated to the Federation of Gay Games that they understood the mission of the Gay Games and our principles of ‘Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best’™,” said Kurt Dahl (Chicago) and Emy Ritt (Paris), FGG Co-Presidents. “We were highly impressed by the facilities and infrastructure, the widespread community sport, their financial plan and the city’s experience in hosting large scale sports and cultural events.”

"The City of Cleveland is prepared to roll out the welcome mat to the LGBT athletes, their families and spectators from around the world," said Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson. "Fans of the Gay Games will find that Cleveland is a great place to celebrate sports and culture and that we have tremendous assets and amenities for them to enjoy. The sports and cultural environment here is truly a uniquely Cleveland experience, one they will cherish for years to come."

“We are extremely honoured and pleased that Cleveland has been selected to host the 2014 Gay Games,” said W. We are also pleased to be considered and selected from among two of the greatest cities in the world – Boston and Washington, D.C. – and greatly appreciate the support of both cities as Cleveland hosts the Gay Games in 2014.”

The Gay Games is a quadrennial sports and cultural festival founded in 1982 by Olympic decathlete Dr. Tom Waddell. Registrations for Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 Pass 1,700

Sign up will close soon for two sports - Golf and Sailing – that are nearing capacity

Cologne, Germany – The organizers of the 2010 Gay Games in Cologne, Germany, announced today that more than 1,700 athletes and artists have now registered to participate in the quadrennial sports & cultural event next July and August. Participants from more than 30 nations have already signed up including many from Eastern European countries where many who are openly gay or lesbian are still persecuted. Participation by the host country Germany leads all other nations with registrations from the United States and The Netherlands following close behind.

“Registrations have increased substantially in the last few months,” said Annette Wachter, CEO of Games Cologne. “Summer LGBT sports programs in North America and Europe have helped drive registrations from the USA, Canada and Europe. The approach of the southern hemisphere’s summer has also increased registrations from Australia and South Africa. We are on target to have participation levels of 8,000 to 10,000 next July and August in Cologne.” Two sports – golf and sailing – are nearing capacity. There are 34 sports and 4 cultural events being offered at the event.

“Now is the time to register for the 2010 Gay Games,” urged Kurt Dahl (Chicago) and Emy Ritt (Paris), co-presidents of the Federation of Gay Games (FGG). “Early registration secures a participant’s spot in a sport or cultural event that may otherwise sell out, and allows Cologne to better plan for next summer’s 8th Gay Games.” FGG delegates from around the world will get a chance to review Cologne’s preparations as they head to the German host city September 26 to October 2, 2009, for its Annual meeting.

Gay Games VIII runs from July 31 to August 7, 2010, and will open with an inspiring Opening Ceremony at RheinEnergie Stadium, the city’s football (soccer) stadium. Up to 48,000 people are expected at the Opening Ceremony according to Andrea Müller, head of the Games Cologne Ceremony & Culture Task Force. Entertainment has not yet been announced but past Gay Games performers have included Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Kylie Minogue, Erasure’s Andy Bell and Heather Small.

We're accepting nominations for our 2009 Athlete of the Year

In its third year of publication, Compete, The Gay Sports Magazine, will begin accepting applications for its 2009 Athlete of the Year.
“We decided to move the announcement date to later in the year to accommodate participants in this year’s Copenhagen Outgames,” says Eric Carlyle, Co-Publisher and CEO. "We’re very proud to have been the first publication to name a GLBT Athlete of the Year and we look forward to continuing the tradition."
Compete Magazine’s Athlete of the Year will be selected based on commitment to personal achievement, active participation in an individual or team sport, commitment to supporting/encouraging others in sports and commitment to the GLBT sporting community and/or GLBT community.
Compete encourages all GLBT athletes or fans to nominate themselves and/or any deserving GLBT individual. Nominations can be made by anyone at http://competemag.com/aoty. Nominees are encouraged to submit a 250-500 word essay describing the importance of sports in his/her life and at least one letter of reference. Photos, short introduction DVDs (no more than two minutes), and video submissions are also acceptable.
“We’re still very happy to be the first publication to award a gay Athlete of the Year and expect to do so for many years to come," said company GM David Riach.
Finalists will be submitted to a panel of celebrity judges consisting of 2008 Athlete of the Year Jeff Kagan, HGTV Design Star Winner and host of Color Splash David Bromstad, race car driver Evan Darling, Phoenix Mercury Assistant Coach and Former WNBA Athlete Bridget Pettis, and three-time X-Games Gold Medalist Sarah Burke. Alfonzo tried Monster Milk

Some of you asked about Monster Milk . While I will say that you won't know about a product by going through two cannisters of it, you do get a pretty good idea of what its going to do for your body. I saw it was on sale at Vitamin Shoppe for $29.99. Today is the last day it's on sale, so if you want some, go get it NOW. If you prefer to order online, it's $31.99 at dpsnutrition.net. In fact EVERYTHING is cheaper at DPS Nutrition, so I recommend buying there to save yourself some money.
I did really like this product. I like how I felt doing my workouts and it's five grams of fiber per serving really helps keep you feeling full. I also like the fact that it also had 11, count 'em, 11 grams of recovery- and digestion-assisting glutamine and 500% of your daily requirement of B12 (me likey the B12). The main attraction with this supplement is the 50 big grams of protein. Yes, 50! I generally took a 3/4 serving when I made my shakes, to stretch it out. The only thing I wasn't big on was the 1 gram of creatine per serving. The downside of this supplement is that it can be expensive (retails for $54.99 when not on sale, but buy at DPS and problem solved). It also made me bloated and gassy. Keep in mind, all bodies react differently to supplements (and I'm prone to gas). Also, I'd found in the past that if I'm trying to lose weight, I probabaly don't really need to be taking something with creatine. Since my goal is weight loss and not size, I discovered this wasn't the proper supplement for my goals. However, I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to bulk up or simply get larger. I took this supplement after my workouts and two other times in between meals.

I'm now trying another product by MHP called Probolic-SR. I'll let you know how it goes.

The Countdown has Begun to July 31, 2010

World’s LGBT-athletes will gather in Cologne in
One Year for Gay Games VIII

Cologne, Germany, July 31, 2009 – Today the countdown clock in the “gay village” in Cologne, Germany, reads “365 days to go” as the city and its LGBT community gets ready to welcome the world for the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010. Positioned on the building above "Ex-Corner", one of Cologne’s most famous gay bars, the clock has been counting down for more than a year, reminding visitors and residents alike that Cologne will host the 8th Gay Games.

The Gay Games are a quadrennial sports and cultural festival founded in 1982 by Dr. Tom Waddell, an Olympic decathlete. Celebrated every four years, the Gay Games motto is “Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best.” Drawing up to 12,000 participants – more than the Olympic Games – previous Gay Games have been held in San Francisco (1982, 1986), Vancouver (1990), New York (1994), Amsterdam (1998), Sydney (2002) and Chicago (2006).

Gay Games VIII, July 31 to August 7, 2010, begins exactly one year from today, with an inspiring Opening Ceremony at RheinEnergie Stadium, the city’s football (soccer) stadium. “We expect up to 48,000 people at the Opening Ceremony,” said Andrea Muller, head of the Gay Games Cologne Ceremony & Culture Task Force. “Planning is still underway, but like past Gay Games ceremonies, the program will include famous international artists.”

Local support in Cologne for the Gay Games VIII has been strong, led by the City’s Mayor. Even the city’s famous bakeries have gotten into the spirit, introducing the “Cologne Coin Cookie,” a red and white shortbread pastry that bears the Gay Games VIII Cologne logo and is available for sale throughout the city. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Gay Games VIII scholarship recipients from Eastern Europe. The city is also learning that the Gay Games are open to anyone, regardless of sexual orientation and regardless of ability. Many local residents (“straight but not narrow”) are expected to participate in events such as the Marathon and Road Races.

With one year to go, planning for the 34 sports being offered is well underway. “Most sports venues have been finalized,” said Karl-Heinz Schmitz, Gay Games Cologne Sports Officer. “Each will meet international standards and requirements of their relevant sanctioning bodies,” a requirement from the Federation of Gay Games for all Gay Games hosts. “We would like to thank the City of Cologne for its great support,” added Schmitz. “Cologne is known as ‘the sports city,’ and we are living up to our name.”

Registrations from athletes are beginning to accelerate with about 1,400 registered so far. In North America, for example, several cities are planning “One Year To Cologne” parties to help kick-off preparations for the event, and materials have been distributed to participants at more than 150 events worldwide in the last 6 months.

Media outlets have also begun to show their support by becoming partners. Publications from Australia (Sydney Star Observer, Southern Star, Out In Perth), USA (Windy City Times, Desert Daily Guide, Talk Magazine, Splash Magazine, Options News), United Kingdom (reFRESH), and Germany (BLU, Mate magazine) are now among the sponsors of the 2010 Gay Games with more joining regularly.

Cologners will soon get another reminder of the pending Gay Games. A second countdown clock is being added to Cologne’s “old town,” outside of the gay village (which is called by some the 'Bermuda Triangle'.) “We want to energize the entire city,” said Ingo Schneider, Gay Games Cologne Press Officer. The city itself will be on display during the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010, especially during the Gay Games Village. Andrea Müller has an exciting plan for this village: “We’re creating a centrally located meeting point where participants and visitors can find information, meet, or simply relax. Our vibrant arts and cultural community is also helping coordinate activities and exhibitions.”

The “One Year To Go” celebrations might be taking place in Cologne tonight, but, ironically, many of the Gay Games Cologne’s leaders are missing out. They’re in Copenhagen, Denmark, promoting the Gay Games VIII at yet another LGBT sports event, the OutGames. When they return, the clock above "Ex-Corner" will be under a year for the first time. Maybe they’ll stop in for a Kölsch, the beer famously made only in the Cologne region. But just like all organizing committees before them, they’ll quickly get back to work as they prepare their city to welcome thousands next year to the Gay Games VIII Cologne 201.

Prost! (Cheers)

Photographer Josh McNey and wrestlers

From Charmants.com:

"What was the first photograph that you remember making an impression on you?
My mom has at least two huge trunks of family photos. Taking family photos was a big part of my experience growing up as was taking pictures of my brothers when they were skating and surfing. My parents also kept a large collection of photo books, most of them reportage work. A book of photos of US Marines by Anthony Edgeworth idealized a sort of masculinity that I found and still find very attractive. On the most basic level, those photos certainly influenced my decision to ultimately join the US Marines."

Why we celebrate Gay Pride

For those of you children who think Gay Pride Celebrations are about porn and wearing tiny outfits, getting drunk, and free crap, here is a little history of why we talk about the Stonewall Riots in relation to Gay Pride. It's not about sports, but it is about our community as a whole and you know what they, those who do not our history, are doomed to repeat it! Also, there was a lot of fighting, which requires athleticism and stamina (especially if you're rioting for a few days).

For more information about the Stonewall Riots, copy and paste the following link into your browser:

http://www.glbtq.com/social-sciences/stonewall_riots.html

Also, the BBC will be doing a documentary on the Stonewall Riots

We're Going Monthly

Here's our press release about the change. Also, check out www.charmants.com for a feature they did on our swimsuit issue.

Tempe, AZ –June 24, 2009— Compete Magazine goes monthly beginning with its Third Annual Swimsuit Issue. The increase in frequency allows for more coverage of the surprisingly many GLBT community events that occur all around the world.

Of the change, Editor Buddy Early stated, “This change makes our job much easier in terms of selecting content for the magazine. Increasing our frequency means we can cover more events, bring readers more news and tell more stories”

At a time when many publications are either folding or going Web-only, Compete Magazine is taking an aggressive approach to growing by reaching more readers. “Publishing Compete more frequently will solidify awareness of our brand and give us the opportunity to stay fresh in the minds of our readers,” said Publisher David Riach.

The year’s most popular issue is the Swimsuit Issue, known for including actual GLBT athletes. This year’s photo shoot took place in Seattle, and was done by local photographer Malcolm Smith in Seattle’s Greenlake area. It includes swimwear from designers such as Low Tees, Ginch Gonch, BrazilianTrunks.com, BoyRio, N2N Bodywear and Baskit.

The change, taking effect with its July 2009 Issue, marks the publication’s second anniversary. The magazine is the world’s first sports publication targeting the gay community.

Compete provides the most comprehensive global sports information to, and for, the gay community. We promote both the importance of sports to the gay community and the gay community to sports. We connect and inspire our readers to get involved and participate in sports as athletes and fans. Compete is most well-known for it’s annual swimsuit issue, but it’s most distinguished accomplishment is being the first publication to recognize a gay Athlete of the Year. It’s publishers of Compete Magazine were runners-up for PlanetOut.com’s 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

More information about Compete Magazine can be found at www.competemag.com. Media inquiries should be directed to press@competemag.com.

Mike Tyson

If you haven't heard, Mike Tyson's four-year-old daughter, Exodus, was prounounced dead yesterday. Her neck was caught on the cord of a treadmill (not at Tyson's home), he was out of town when this took place.

Our condolences go out to the family of Exodus Tyson.

Here is a preview of the movie, which premiered at Cannes, about the life of Mike Tyson:

Hearts & Iron

Hearts & Iron is a comic book (readers call them graphic novels) about two "men's men" (which, it could be assumed, is why men would be attracted to them).

Here is the writer's synopsis of the comic from Jeff Jacklin's website:

"This is the story of Carl Hanson and John Sullivan, two iron-pumping gay men who begin a life-journey together. As competitive athletes who don't live in a major urban center or in a gay ghetto, Carl and John may challenge ideas of what gay people are like, as will the presence of gay punk / alternative characters. Their path will take them into scuffles in which they turn the tables on gay bashers, and into competition in the Highland games, and in other timelines where they compete int he ancient Olympics."

If you'd like to find about more about the writer, who is an athlete as well, visit his website: jeffsmusclestudio.com

Straight Guy on a Gay Team

towleroad.com posted a link to a photo essay done by the New York Times. The subject talks about how he joined the Gotham Knights [gay rugby team] to get closer to his gay brother.

Very cool and very endearing. If only we could convince the men we love to do the same. How romantic that would be, until you take his shoulder to your face.

Japanese Flexology

We hit the twitter this morning and were led to out.com's popnography(.com) page.

If you're not familiar with Japanese TV or pop culture, you may not be aware that sometime it feels as though there's a joke no else in the world is in on. Moving on, there is a new game for the Nintendo wii and we can't quite figure out what it is, but it involves muscular men and and perhaps a polar bear and a scary asian (man/)woman(?). There is a lot of running around, posing and flexing.

Wait a sec, it could be a circuit party!

You be the judge.

Skate Canada wants to butch up men's figure skating

ABCNEWS.com reports that Skate Canada (Canada's figure skating organization) wants to showcase the masculinity involved in figure skating. While many of us may be very well aware of the strength, training and endurance that goes into anything artistic (i.e., ballet), we must also realize that many times, it involves portraying masculinity in an "unconventional" way.
If anything, Skate Canada should focus more on changes people's opinions about what is masculine and what kind of training and pain goes into competing at that level.

Today Buddy (our editor), came running to an other staff members desk and told him, "Oh my God, you HAVE to take the What Kind of Gay Are You? quiz on facebook!"

After waiting for Buddy to finish and post it, said staff member proceeded to take the test. He was just answering quiz questions until he made it to question number eight (could be wrong). One of the options for an answer was "Sports Out Loud!" (Sports Out Loud is our old name). It was so exciting to see that we've receive our gay pop culture status.

Because you know you've made it when the publication you work for pops up in a facebook quiz.

Hockey coach loses it

Here is a video of John Tortella, coach of the New York Rangers, hurling a water bottle at a fan of the opposing team (in this case the Washington Capitals). He then goes batsh!t with a hockey stick.

Model behavior.

He was later suspended for the first-round playoff series by the NHL.

Forum on out gay athlete in pro sports

There is quite an interesting post on worldhaveyoursay.wordpress.com where they've asked the question, "Why are there so few openly gay sports stars?"

I'm sure we all have our opinions, but here is a chance to read what others have said and have your own say, as well.

Think a gay sports magazine has no place?

This is the editor's letter from the current issue of Compete Magazine.

Buddy Early breaks it down for those who think they would be completely uninterested in reading a gay sports magazine.

Even though we are constantly hearing from our readers how much they appreciate Compete Magazine, it can be a hard sell for some who still don’t understand the scope of what we do.
There are those who do not play sports who think that our content will not appeal to them. Then there are those who don’t follow sports who think they won’t understand what they are reading. And then, of course, there are those who have never picked up an issue who exclaim “Why is there a need for a gay sports magazine?”
Well, to all those people I say: look closer.

This issue is a perfect example of the possibilities that exist in our gay sports community. You’ll find an interview with former professional basketball player and trailblazer John Amaechi; you can read about a lesbian’s one-night stand with her local roller derby league; you might learn about how gay cowboys have turned their love for rodeo into a terrific social opportunity; and you can get inside the head of author E. Lynn Harris, whose latest book centers around a closeted pro athlete.

I really do believe this is a magazine for everyone in our community. I like to tell people about one of our loyal readers – a local female impersonator who reads and loves every issue. She doesn’t play sports, and she couldn’t tell a field goal from a free throw, but she recognizes the value of Compete, and never hesitates to tell me so. She is the perfect example of someone who might not consider themselves a target demographic for us … at first.
Like her, I invite any skeptical readers to look closer.

More Swimsuit Issue Planning

Today a few of us spent some time pulling suits and deciding who is going to wear what and the Seattle weather and what not.

We've been pretty excited about this year's issue (as we are every year), but laying things out really gets us into the mindset of what a great shoot we're expecting to have this year.

Buddy (our editor) and Josh (from marketing) will be in Seattle this weekend, keep and eye out for them in Seattle.

Breaking News! Apolgy from UFC's Dana White

You may have heard of the controversy when Dana White referred to someone associated with a fighter as a faggot. As some may be familiar with the use of this word to refer to a coward, we certainly don't like to hear it used in such a vitriolic manner.

Our friend Ted Rybka at GLAAD did speak with Dana White, yesterday, and received an apology. We are very happy to hear that Mr. White is clearly aware of the negative effects this type of speech has on people within our community.

Meanwhile, the rest of us will enjoy these photos of openly gay MMA fighter, Shad Smith.

Gay Couple in Sports Bar

This special first aired on ABE news. It took actors into a straight sports bar to get the reactions of the patrons to a gay couple in their midst. Surprisingly, the video really conjures up strong emotion, especially if you've been in a situation like this before.

Gay Porn Wrestler Not Sorry

Our friends at www.gaysportsblog.com (specifically Joe Moag) are talking about the straight wrestler from Nebraska who was kicked off his wrestling team and lost his scholarship for having images of himself posted on a gay porn website. The members of gay.com have some very passionate opinions about it.

Anyway, he's now wrestling at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and he's not sorry for what he did.

Guess what, he's the #1 wrestler in his weight Division.

SUCK IT NEBRASKA!
