Tyson Cup 2009
This weekend's Tyson American Cup has really given us an idea of what to expect in the four yeas leading to the next Olympic games. This year's shining star is Jordyn Wieber of the USA. Wieber is now among Mary Lou Retton and Nadia Comaneci, in winning the Tyson American Cup at the age of 13.
Youna Dufournet looked as though she was doing well in third place, until her balance beam routine where she fell off the beam three times.
Amelia Racea also had an awful miss from one of her releases on the uneven bars when she landed face down in a (for lack of a better term) spread-eagle position. This is particularly sad when you consider how difficult Romania had been to beat, in the past. Mistakes like this just didn't happen.

A-Rod's Coming Out
I can't get over Alex Rodriguez coming out...about using steroids! Has he no shame? Better to string us along denying and denying!
A-Rod willl end up just another baseball player with an * by his name in the record books. He cares so much about getting into baseball's Hall of Fame, and soon no one will care about the * because it's become all too common. So he only used an "unknown" substance prior to baseball's 'roid policy. He allegedly hooked up with Madonna prior to his divorce. This guy seems to get his cart before the horse only for important things. Except money...he gets that biggggg contract with the Yankees after all of that.

Yes, Anna Rawson REALLY Said That.
Anna Rawson, glamazon golfer, is more well known for her appearances on runways, women's magazine covers and men's magazines has opened her mouth and said something that probably came out the wrong way.
In an interview on an Australian radio station, she said the following:
"The tour has got so much better with so many young stars and great players, but the mentality unfortunately amongst the media and the industry hasn't changed. They still think we're at 25 years ago when the tour was full of, you know, a lot of dykes and unattractive females nobody wanted to watch."
Apparently, she's not about making strides for the feminism movement.
She later went on to backtrack and say that the opinion she gave was not her own, but that of society's. She went on to talk about the difference in what men and women make in golf and how women don't get the sponsorhip dollars awarded to their male counterparts.
So did she really mean to say that women don't get sponsorship dollars and don't make as much as men because society thinks they're dykes and women with bodies nobody wants to watch? It sounds like she's using the same mentality applied when the making the movie "Snakes on a Plane."
It probably would have been a better idea just to apologize and leave it at that.
