AGRA Rodeo Royalty Announced

At the 11 October rodeo membership meeting, Vice President Michael Butts introduced the candidates for 2010. Competing for Ms. A.G.R.A. are Vanessa Jimenez and Sharon Starks. For Mr. A.G.R.A., Michael Butts and Ferdy Quezada. For MsTer A.G.R.A., Christy Burnett, and for Miss A.G.R.A., Claudia B. (aka Joshua Sipe).

Rodeo Royalty represent their local rodeo association at fundraising events, community meetings, as well as compete in the annual International Gay Rodeo Association Royalty competition. At the local level, they are required to select and raise funds for a non-profit organization. In addition to using their stunning good looks and fashion sense, Royalty candidates also promote the Western lifestyle by competing in horsemanship.

Royalty judging will take place at Charlie’s before the 2010 RoadRunner Regional Rodeo. A.G.R.A.’s 25th year of rodeo event takes place at Rawhide 12-14 February, 2010 during Presidents’ Day weekend. For more information, check out our hot website at www.agra-phx.com.

Another Team Sidelines SMART Ride Car Wash!

Sidelines Sports Bar's Team Sidelines, back by popular demand, will be hold its 2nd car wash on Sunday, October 18th in the south parking lot of Sidelines Sports Bar from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The car washes are part of the team's fundraising efforts as they prepare for the two-day, 165 mile bicycle ride from Miami, FL to Key West, FL.

Last month's car wash was such a huge success, raising over $1,200, the team is once again offering the special price of only $7 per car and 100% of all monies raised by Team Sidelines will go directly to the SMART Ride's benefiting agencies, which include AIDS Help, Inc., Broward House, Compass, Hug Me, The Center for Positive Connections, and Metropolitan Charities, Inc.

So, stop by Sidelines on Sunday (10/18/09) and your contribution will help Team Sidelines reach their goals while getting your car sparkling clean!
